On Monday we were THRILLED to have a news feature on WSMV’s 4 o’clock news broadcast! The topic? The Best apps to buy & sell kids clothing! If there’s anyone who loves to buy and sell gently used kids items, it’s me! So I was so excited for this opportunity! We talked about some of my favorite apps to buy and sell kids clothing items like Kidizen and Poshmark. One thing we also love is a GREAT local kids consignment sale like Little Sprouts and Rhea Lana’s of Franklin! Keep reading to see our tips and also be sure to check out the news segment HERE!
The first tip we shared was to make sure you capture a great photo of the item you are selling. Great lighting and making sure you note and photograph any wear and tear on the item. The best thing you can do is to be transparent when selling items online. You definitely want to get a good rating from the buyer!
Selling items at the correct price point is also key! I’d recommend discounting your item 50-80% off of the retail price. Determine the price on the wear and tear of the item and also how old the item is. Is it still in style? If it’s New with Tags or New Without Tags, you can definitely discount it closer to what the retail price is or what you bought it for.
Selling items as a “lot” is great! Moms love bundled items and you can get an even greater discount on bundles. Think of what you would sell each piece for individually, add it all up, and discount it even further. Definitely be sure to bundle items that are similar to each other and within the same style.

Rhea Lana’s is definitely a favorite consignment sale of mine! You can find so many great deals here from clothing to ride on toys to baby gear! Plus, they have a partnership with Joovy stollers so you can get them brand new at a discounted price! I also love selling my items here because they have their very own app where you can do voice entry! Not to mention, they have a foster family shop after the sale where foster families can get items for free! This sale is happening NOW so be sure to stop by this weekend in downtown Franklin!
