Daryl’s Winter Maternity Session by Jenna Henderson Photography

Snow makes for the perfect light in photos, so Daryl and Clint decided to take advantage of their snow day in Nashville to capture some snowy maternity photos! When Jenna Henderson got the call to do their shoot, she was in! Her film photography mixed with digital is really a beautiful way to showcase a baby bump in the snow! The three of them braved the 18 degree weather, but the day made for some memories that will last a lifetime. See their full session below!

Tell us about your family!

Daryl: Clint and I have been best friends since we were in kindergarten. When we started dating  after college, all of our family and friends were like “it’s about time.” We were married on May 31, 2014. We have 3 dogs: Chipper, Scooter and Oakley . We welcomed our sweet Camille “Millie” Olivia in March 2018.

What was the moment like when you found out you were pregnant?

Daryl: There were so many emotions. We had been trying to get pregnant for a while so you can imagine the relief and rush of happiness! Telling Clint was very exciting and getting that positive confirmation from my OB was even better. I’ll never forget that smile on Clint’s face when we saw Millie on the ultrasound for the 1st time.

How did you announce you were pregnant to your family/friends?

Daryl: We would randomly announce it to our friends and family as we saw them. It was a fun game to see how many hints we could give before they would figure out what we were telling them.

How has your family reacted to your pregnancy?

Daryl: Everyone was so excited for us. Most knew we had been trying to get pregnant for some time, so there were lots of smiles, hugs, and tears.

How did you come up with your concept and location for your photos?

Daryl: We hadn’t planned our maternity photos yet. It was a snow day and I wasn’t going into work that day. I texted Jenna and asked if she would be up to shooting maternity photos in snow and freezing temperatures. She said as long as we came to pick her up she was all for it.  So off to the farm we went!

What was it like working with Jenna Henderson during the shoot?

Daryl: Jenna has been a friend of ours for a long time, and she has been our photographer since we got engaged in 2013. So working with her is always fun! It was 18 degrees outside that day. We would go shoot for 5 minutes and then jump into the car to let her hands thaw out. She had taken us out in cold weather shoots before, but nothing like this. It was so cold, but so worth every photo.

Daryl! Thank you so much for sharing your snowy maternity session with us! You can check out more on their photographer, Jenna Henderson HERE. And also follow her over on Instagram!
