Pretty bows and baby blues, today’s feature is chockfull of cuteness! With Ruthie just turning six months, mom Alex wanted to make sure she captured her darling daughter’s grace and personality in this spring photo session by Haley Mantlo Photography. Tell us all about your baby and what milestone they hit!
Alex: Ruthie Brynn turned 6 months old on March 20! She is our first child.
Why did you decide to do a photo session now?
Alex: She turned 6 months old, and I wanted pictures that will give us memories of how she looked at this sweet age! She’s changing so much so quickly!
What was your vision for the session?
Alex: I was just hoping that we could get some that capture her at this age and got her in her little Easter dress. Even though it was kind of a yucky day, Haley did such a great job with scouting a location/lighting and editing them so that it looked like a beautiful Spring day.
How did your child react during the photo session?
Alex: Ruthie smiles so much at home, but when you put a camera in front of her, she was not cracking! She didn’t cry, but she was very skeptical and serious. She gave us a lot of what we call her “bulldog face” 🙂 . I just love that we got pictures of some of her facial expressions and little features!
What was it like working with your photographer?
Alex: Haley is the kindest person and photographer! She makes it her mission to make sure that you get the shots that you want, and she never makes you feel like she is trying to rush through or limit the amount of shots she gets. I don’t know her well, but she makes you feel like her friend and photoshoots are easy and stress-free with her!
What are some of your baby’s favorite things at this stage? What are some of your favorite memories?
Alex: Ruthie loves to be moving! She rolls over constantly, touches everything, and would bounce in her jumper all day if we let her. One thing I want to bottle up and remember forever is the way she smiles at us when we go in to get her from her crib after a nap.
