I was so thrilled when I heard that a wedding planner friend of mine, Randi Barksdale with Jet Set Planning was expecting her first child! I just knew her baby shower would look like it came from the pages of a magazine since this is right in Randi’s wheelhouse. The blush, ivory and gold theme gave way for personalized elements like the airplane cookies, southern garden photo backdrop and vintage china from The Wedding Plate. Tell us about your baby shower theme!
Randi: The theme was Amelia’s Adventures. Since my husband is a pilot with Southwest Airlines, we wanted an adventure theme.
How did you feel during your baby shower?
Randi: I was happy and excited! After being told we could not have children, we were ecstatic to be pregnant with our baby girl.
Did you receive any specific gifts that were very thoughtful or special to you?
Randi: My favorite gift was Amelia James’ silver monogrammed spoon a close family friend got her.
Tell us about the moment you found out you were pregnant!
Randi: I found out I was pregnant in Time Square on May 24, 2018. I remember walking around Central Park earlier that day and every food stand smelled to me. That night I bought a pregnancy test and took it and found out I was pregnant. It was a shock and definitely had happy tears that night.
