Tell us about Five Pence Photography! How long have you been in business?
Bethany: I’ve been in business 5 years, but only 2 in the USA. I was overseas for a very long time.
What made you want to work with parents/families/kids/babies?
Bethany: My heart leads me there, always! I know it, love it, feel it, and live it.
What is the philosophy behind Five Pence Photography?
Bethany: I want to keep it real, but make it pretty. One of the reasons we take photos is for memory keeping, but hiring a professional for a session implies you’re looking for an artistic approach to your everyday family life.
What are your strengths compared to others in your category?
Bethany: I’ve been photographing my own babies for the last 13 years. I have a sentimental approach to sessions as I know how consuming but fleeting these days are. No one really lives in the same house anymore for years and in-home photography really allows me to get to the heart of your current lifestyle. I love how looking back at photos brings to light the rooms and walls we used to call home.
