Our friends at Romance & Rust have done it again! This time, they’ve put together a beautiful garden inspired baby shower at The Robertson Room. Mama-to-be Courtney wanted a whimsy garden celebration in honor of her little girl on the way. Kathy of Romance & Rust was able to take that vision and make it come to life through incredible details. Florals in vintage milk glass, warm tones, and bunny statues all contributed to the southern garden style scene, with incredibly adorable treats accompany the sweet design! Keep on scrolling to see highlights and learn more about this darling day!
Tell us all about the baby shower!
Kathy: The shower took place at The Robertson Room, a beautiful venue located in Robertson County with a modern industrial vibe. Courtney was surrounded by her favorite people who couldn’t wait to shower her and sweet baby girl, Ellis Avery, with love.
Was there a theme? What was the decor like?
Kathy: Courtney wanted a southern garden party theme with sweet whimsical touches. So, our thought process was.. if Southern Living Magazine shared a baby shower within their pages, what would that look like. We are so excited with how beautifully the vision came to life!! Sweet little bunnies nestled within moss, beautiful florals in vintage milk glass, pretty pink and green goblets, and dainty vine napkin rings set the beautiful scene. The sage linens add a little warmth and an earthy touch. The dessert table featured fruit tarts from Publix, bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and beautifully decorated cookies made by Brooke Fitzpatrick. The pretty gold display pieces were also used on the dessert bar at Courtney & Ryan’s wedding reception. Dainty white glass platters and bowls belonging to Courtney’s grandmother were mixed in. I love using heirloom items when designing events. It makes the day even more special.
How did the mama react during the baby shower?
Courtney: I was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy! The shower design by Romance & Rust was everything I had dreamed it would be.
Did the baby receive any specific gifts that were very thoughtful or special?
Courtney: “We asked everyone to bring a book instead of a card. We have loved reading the sweet messages that were written to us and Ellis. All the gifts we received were very thoughtful. We especially loved the handmade quilts and blankets made by my mother in law, best friend, and other close family and friends”.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Kathy: This one is near and dear to my heart. I’ve known Courtney since she was a little girl. Her mom, Connie, has been my sweet friend for years, as well as our daughters. We have celebrated so many wonderful days together, including the weddings of our girls. It is such a blessing to share in these beautiful moments and celebrate this next chapter of their lives.
Courtney: Everyone being there to celebrate Ellis meant the world to me and Ryan.
Congratulations Courtney! Huge thank you to her and Kathy at Romance & Rust for sharing this garden inspired baby shower at The Robertson Room.
