There’s something incredibly special about a maternity session that captures the beauty and anticipation of welcoming a new life. For Colleen, her Nashville maternity shoot was not just a celebration of her impending motherhood but also a tribute to her cherished childhood memories at Cedarmont Farm. This private estate, now a popular venue for Nashville weddings, has been a significant part of Colleen’s life. Colleen actually grew up living on Cedarmont Farm, making it the perfect location for this unforgettable moment. Known for her stunning ability to blend digital and film photography, Kéra Photography documented Colleen’s radiant glow and the serene beauty of this meaningful spot when Colleen was 24 weeks pregnant. The mama to be wore a dress complete with soft, elegant fabric that fluttered gently in the breeze as she posed with her husband, Kevyn. This gallery is truly a keepsake and will no doubt impress you!

Tell us about you guys as a couple/family!
Colleen: Kevyn and I got married 3 years ago at Cedarmont, Baby Bowling is our first baby. Kevyn and I met when we both worked in the film industry and moved back to my childhood home together so I could open it as a venue. We love to travel (we’re trying to visit all 50 states together), check out new restaurants and go on walks on the farm.
What was the moment like when you found out you were pregnant?
Colleen: It was pretty funny. We were hoping I was pregnant but we weren’t sure until we went to buy the test at the drugstore and I realized I had forgotten to put on shoes before we left the house. I remember Kevyn just looked at me and said “do we even need to buy this test?

How did you announce you were pregnant to your family/friends?
Colleen: I told them all individually and privately over the course of the next 20 weeks. We waiting until after my first trimester to tell most people and even longer to say anything publicly. I was just really nervous.
How has your family reacted to your pregnancy?
Colleen: They were so excited. This is the first grandchild on my side and the second on Kevyn’s so everyone was very excited.
How has your pregnancy been so far?
Colleen: I was sick my entire pregnancy haha I don’t think a week passed that I didn’t throw up. I got through it but man, it was rough. However, being sick forced me to slow down and there were very sweet moments of just sitting on the back porch or taking walks or laying on the couch with Kevyn where we got to just enjoy being together before we welcomed our son. We were so excited about all of it we took advantage of all of the things we could to soak it all in. We read the pregnancy books, we took childbirth classes, I did prenatal yoga. We decorated our nursery and I decluttered our entire house going through every drawer and closet one by one.

How far along are you in the maternity photos?
Colleen: 24 weeks
How did you come up with your concept/location for your photos?
Colleen: It’s our home and it happens to be beautiful.

What was it like during the shoot working with Kéra Photography?
Colleen: Kéra is always great. She has great pose ideas but she also has such an amazing eye that she caught some of the best candid images and her shot composition is stunning. You can tell how talented she is with her craft as well. So many photographers don’t master the technical side of it as much as Kera has. You can see that especially with her film images. They’re so beautiful.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Colleen: My favorite photos she took are the B&W ones of me on the wall carrying my shoes and in the driveway. the ones of Kevyn and I on the steps and in the field are so sweet as well.

Huge thank you to Colleen and Kevyn as well as Kéra Photography for sharing this maternity session with us!
