Free-spirited baby shower designs are quite popular nowadays. But Katie’s baby boy boho baby shower offers something more unique. Forgoing the neutral shades or blush pink hues, Kathy of Romance & Rust designed a blue toned soiree to honor Katie’s little man on the way. While the color palette carried a tranquil, yet more masculine feel the decor elements were perfectly bohemian. Wicker accents, pampas grass, a beaded elements all made an appearance for the celebration. Mama-to-be fit the theme herself with a darling dainty blue dress too! If you ever thought the boho style had to feminine, this baby boy boho baby shower will surely convince you otherwise.
Tell us all about the baby shower!
Kathy of Romance & Rust: The shower took place at The Chapel at Three Oaks, the same location as Katie & Zachary’s wedding, which made it even more special. I also had the privilege of styling their wedding as well, therefore, being a part of their next chapter was very near and dear to my heart. Katie was surrounded by family and friends who came to shower her with love and gifts for sweet Jetson.
Was there a theme? What was the decor like?
Kathy: Katie loves boho style, so we incorporated a lots of wicker, custom signage, beaded garlands, and blue pampas grass. The baby’s name is Jetson, so there were a few airplane elements tossed in as well.
Katie: I had chosen the theme, and when I walked in, everything was absolutely gorgeous and every detail was amazing!
How did the mama react during the baby shower?
Katie: I felt so grateful through the whole shower for everyone there, the hard work and love that went into decorating, and just how generous and excited everyone was.
Did the baby receive any specific gifts that were very thoughtful or special?
Katie: Every gift was so sweet! We had a baby book for Jetson and asked everyone to write a note inside, which we love. My parents gave us so many things that were needed, thoughtful and special. One of my friends gifted us with a handmade quilt and lovey, which is very special to us.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Katie: Everything about that day was so beautiful. My mom is amazing,! She did so much and just makes everything so fun and special. Getting to celebrate a baby is an absolute miracle, and I can’t thank everyone enough for celebrating with us.
