Muted tones, macrame textures, boho accents all came together for a beautiful baby in bloom baby shower theme. Inspired by little Hazel Dean’s nursery wallpaper chosen by her mama Deana, Kathy of Romance & Rust was able to incorporate the perfect design into the wonderful celebration. The Robertson Room was decked out with leafy greens, pampas grass, a flourishing dessert table, and vintage touches. They say “In a field of roses, be a wildflower” and this baby in bloom baby shower certainly is a blossoming vibe that cannot be forgotten! Tell us all about the baby shower!
Kathy of Romance & Rust: The baby shower took place at The Robertson Room in Cross Plains, TN. Their closest friends and family were there to celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Hazel.
From Deana: We were so blessed to receive the most beautiful baby shower that was thrown by my cousin, Megan Estep! We felt so thankful for all the love shown to us and our sweet Hazel Dean.
Was there a theme? What was the decor like?
Kathy: The theme for the shower was “Baby in Bloom”, which got its inspiration from the wallpaper used in the baby’s nursery. Bright florals and colorful pampas grass mix with boho style to create the cutest combination! The dessert bar consisted of a macrame backdrop with beaded garland and floral rings. Marble stands held the prettiest cupcakes which mimicked blooms and a naked cake with a “Baby in Bloom” topper. The sweetest cookies by Kendra’s Kakes were displayed on pink stands. We created personalized custom signage to pull the theme together. My favorite, which was a gift from us, was a sign that says “In a field full of roses, Hazel is a wildflower”.
How did the parents react during the baby shower?
Deana: Austin and I were amazed when we walked into the venue! We knew Kathy with Romance & Rust always goes above and beyond, but we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful the decor was and the attention to detail was extraordinary.
Did the baby receive any specific gifts that were very thoughtful or special?
Deana: We asked for signed books instead of cards at our shower. These will be so special as we read messages from our friends and family to Hazel while reading her a bedtime story every night.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Kathy: Deana and Austin were one of my bridal couples and it is such a blessing to be able to celebrate with them as they welcome their little bundle of joy!
Absolutely love how this day came to be! Congratulations to this beautiful family!
