Tell us all about the baby shower! Where it took place, who was there, etc.!
From Shelby, Mom -to Be: The shower took place at the home of a close friend in her rustic event space. Moms, close friends, and family members were in attendance.
Was there a theme? What was the decor like?
Kathy of Romance and Rust: The theme was “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” With Shelby expecting a baby boy, we wanted to incorporate blue, of course, and bring in some wood elements as well to add a little rustic flair to the frosty details. Blue cheesecloth, chunky wood candlesticks, glass cylinders with floating candles and dainty white blooms in glass bud vases adorned the guest tables. Glittery snowflakes where scattered about. Rather than the traditional silver accents, we opted to bring in gold instead to compliment the wood elements. The dessert table featured the most precious snowy white deer that mingled among sweet treats of adorable customized cookies and mini bundt cakes. Snowball garland and a neon sign mirroring the theme was also added. “Snowflakes” drifted above the guest tables to add to the wintery scene. Guests warmed up at the Hot Chocolate Bar and enjoyed a spread of hearty soup, fresh vegetables and fruit.

How did the mama/daddy/parents react during the baby shower?
Shelby: My hubby and I were amazed to see how the florals meshed with the winter theme! It was a precious winter wonderland!
Did the baby receive any specific gifts that were very thoughtful or special?
Shelby: Some of my favorite gifts were received from this shower was the Owlet Dream Sock (peace of mind while sleeping!), and everything Noodle and Boo – the best baby smell!
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Shelby: Thank you so so much to Romance & Rust for creating the vision I had for my baby shower! Thank you Shelby for allowing us to be a part of celebrating this joyous occasion! Baby Langston is loved so much!
