Harriet’s 3 Month Photo Session by Jenna Henderson Photography

When two pop culture loving parents design a room for their third daughter who’s namesake comes from Harry Potter, you get Harriet’s beautiful vintage meets modern baby girl room! Photographer Jenna Henderson captured the space with muted warm tones and all of the fun decor. Plus, Harriet stole the show in her 3 month photos with her sisters as the room photos turned into a fun sister lifestyle session. Take a look at Harriet’s room and her beautiful baby portraits below!

Tell us all about Harriet’s baby room, decor and the inspiration behind it!

From mom, Jennifer: Harriet is our third child and third baby girl so it would have been really easy to just leave the nursery the way we decorated it for her sister, Goldie, but in an effort to avoid “third child syndrome” and make it special for her, I kept the basic colors the same (white, mint, blush and gold) but edited the details a bit. I kept the crib gold which was painted by her great uncle before her big sister was born. I added the cutest poster that says “Don’t grow up, it’s a trap” from one of my favorite boutiques in Nolensville (where we live) and a wooden sign with her name.

Our boy name has always been Harry (we are HUGE Harry Potter fans and more than that we just really like the name). So, when we found out our third child was another girl we joked that we would name her Harriet. However, we started really liking the name and couldn’t find anything else we liked more. We also used this opportunity to have the (tastefully done) Harry Potter themed nursery we always dreamed of. We added some Harry Potter wall art from different Etsy sellers and displayed the most adorable Harry Potter figures on a round gold wire shelf. I even found a lion’s head mirror at Target perfect for our little Gryffindor!

From mom, Jennifer: On her bookshelf, I topped a little stack of Harry Potter books with a small vintage magnifying glass as little nod to Harriet the Spy as well. And finishing off her wall, I cross stitched 3 pieces with each of our little girls names corresponding to a Schuyler sister from Hamilton the musical. (Is it obvious that we are pretty in to pop culture?) We love Harriet’s room so much and are so pleased with the way it turned out. Some of the same things that remind me of Harriet’s sisters but we added new stuff as well to make it her own.

Jennifer! What fun kids room inspiration for all the Nashville parents out there! Harriet’s room and photos are just a joy to see! You can check out more on her photographer, Jenna Henderson HERE
