Nestled in the woodsy wonderland of Country Cove Tree Farm, The Huffman Family tapped into the winter season with a family Christmas session. Tell us all about your family!
Kelly: We are high school sweethearts from Southern California, we met when I was just fifteen. We’ve been married for 12 yrs now, almost 13!, and have two sweet little girls, Hannah Eve (4) and Vivienne Elle (1) We like to do just about anything as a family; travel, try new things, and celebrate every holiday/ occasion, but also love to snuggle in and be home bodies, usually baking cookies.
Why did you decide to do the shoot now?
Kelly: I like to alternate fall photos and Christmas theme photos each year to switch things up. Our girls are both November birthdays too, so I like a few individual images to document their ages.
What was the concept for your shoot? What was your vision?
Kelly: I envisioned a charming Christmas tree farm, and wanted us to stand out with lots of red and creams, just a classic Christmas look.
How did your kids react during the photo shoot?
Kelly: It was our first mini family session and I was nervous that it wasn’t going to be enough time, but it ended up being perfect! We moved along very quickly to different settings, and it was very laid back, so our girls were at ease and smiley.
Were there any challenges along the way?
Kelly: Everything was super easy! Hardest part was getting everyone ready and there on time!
What was it like working with your photographer?
Kelly: Our photographer Meredith is great! We’ve worked with her before and she is just a kind, warm person. She was great with my girls and is just kind of calm, which helps keep everyone else calm, during what can be hectic family photos.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your photo session?
Kelly: I love how they turned out! She got so many good shots of my girls being sweet sisters and their bond!
