June Belle’s Bee Themed 1st Birthday Party

Little June Belle celebrated her bee themed first birthday party surrounded by so much love. With the help of family and friends, her “BEE-day” was buzzing with balloons, personalized tattoos, and a smash cake – that she may not have been the biggest fan of, but she looked adorable while posing with it! Check out these photos by Brittany Wood Photography of this darling day below!

Tell us all about the planning for the birthday party!

Diana: It was definitely a family effort. I’m really into party planning and just launched Pretty Party Packs in my shop and so having a party in a box made it really simple. Then we made our own balloon garland and added some bee from Etsy to her highchair for her smash cake. My mom did all of the food and I made the cakes. June was recently diagnosed with food allergies so we made everything nut and egg free. My cousin is our favorite photographer and she took the pictures.

What was the theme for the birthday party? Did you choose it or did your child?

Diana: My husband Tim is a beekeeper so we knew we wanted to do a “bee-day” theme. We gave some honey from the hives as her party favors.

Did you do a cake smash? What was the cake flavor and what did your child do when you presented him/her with the cake?

Diana: June Belle did not enjoy her smash cake. She isn’t the biggest fan of sweets and didn’t want to eat it. She also didn’t love everyone singing happy birthday to her. It was so cute. I had to bribe her with cucumbers to sit in her chair for a photo.

What are some fun memories you’ve had of your child at this age?

Diana: It’s been amazing to see the changes happen in her around her first birthday. She says so many more words, started walking, and her personality is just really shining through. She is constantly making us laugh.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about the birthday?

Diana: It was such a great memory. We have a really big family on both sides and people traveled from Ohio too for the big day. She has so many cousins and my friends and I have had babies close together so there we’re babies everywhere and it was so much fun.

Thanks Diana for sharing sweet June Belle’s bee themed first birthday party with us and to Brittany Wood Photography for the cutest photos!
