Tell us about Jennie Pyfferoen! How long have you been in business?
Jennie: I have been a photographer since 2010. In 2017, I discovered family films and it changed me forever.
What made you want to work with parents/families/kids/babies?
Jennie: Being a mom myself, who lost her own mother at the age of 25, I want to tell the story of the life moms and dads are living. I want their kids to have their real life memories of growing up. I want them to always have videos of their childhood and parenthood journey to be able to easily sit down and watch and not need to sort through thousands of videos on a file somewhere.
What is the philosophy behind Jennie Pyfferoen?
Jennie: My work consists of real moments. Real life. Real stories. It celebrates both the joys and the struggles of parenthood.
What are your strengths compared to others in your category?
Jennie: I don’t chase trends. I don’t believe you need a Pinterest-worthy home or perfectly curated outfit to capture the beauty you are living. The life you are living is your purpose and that is a story beautiful enough.
What attracts parents to work with you?
Jennie: Parents see the value in giving their children heirloom videos they can easily rewatch decades from now. They also want to remember the seasons in their lives. The season of having a baby. The season of having multiple children and spending their summers chasing fireflies. The season of having toddler boys who played trains everyday. All the little seasons we live through in our parenting journey.
What are some cool new and innovative trends you’ve seen in your area of expertise?
What I do is the innovative “trend” – moving away from curated and towards real life, but also having your family story told with a cinematic family film, is incredibly unique. (the film comes with photos too).
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your business?
Jennie: It’s hard to see the little moments you experience each day as important. The moments won’t feel important now. To you or your children. Only later will the importance of the moments you lived really show their true meaning.
