Ten little fingers and ten little toes are gracing the blog today in this natural newborn session by Jenny Cruger Photography. Mom Alexa originally planned to have a maternity session with Jenny, when baby Gray decided to come early; making it the perfect time to do a newborn session instead! You’re sure to feel the love in these bright and airy images of this beautiful family. Enjoy viewing them and learning more about the session below!
Jenny: Newborn sessions in my downtown Franklin studio are always baby and mama led, taking time to snuggle, settle, feed, and for mamas to just relax with their new babies in their new role as moms. Everything from wardrobe from the studio to hair and makeup can be done at the studio so new mamas are able to show up, just as they are, and walk away with images like these in which they can feel how beautiful it is to start their family.
Were there any vendors involved in the shoot?
Jenny: Alexa used a BHLDN dress from my studio wardrobe!
Tell us all about the family!
Jenny: Alexa reached out to me when she was pregnant looking for a photographer in my style for her maternity and newborn portraits. Her little guy decided to come early, so we missed out on maternity and packed a ton of our favorite baby and family images into her newborn session.
What was the concept for your shoot? What was your vision?
Jenny: All of my sessions are about showcasing the natural and organic personality of each baby and family, keeping tones light and simple lets the focus stay on the family love and emotion.
How did the baby react during the photo shoot?
Jenny: Gray was the happiest little newborn, while we allowed him to sleep, snuggle, and be in his favorite baby led positions and of course in mommy and daddy’s arms!
