Y’all are going to gush once you see what’s in store for today’s post. Beautiful baby girl Hazel Mae posed in front of the camera for a soft and sweet newborn session with Evie Lynn Photography. Mom, Dad, and her two big sisters were also a part of the session, leaving them with such adorable memories to cherish for years to come. Tell us all about your new baby!
Lindsey (mom): Baby Hazel is a joy! She is our third daughter and she has completed our family in the best way.
How was your pregnancy?
Lindsey: This pregnancy was pretty tough physically and mentally. I had a lot of morning sickness and all of the aches and pains of pregnancy. But I would do it a million times over to bring home this sweet baby. We had 4 pregnancy losses before her and we had pretty much given up hope that we would bring home another baby. To say I was stressed, anxious and scared would be an understatement. But she was our miracle baby girl.
Tell us about his/her birth!
Lindsey: Hazel’s birth was great! I had a scheduled induction at 37 weeks due to prior complications. I was nervous about the induction, but it went very smoothly. She was a happy, healthy 6lb 10oz baby girl.
How have you been doing since he/she came into your life?
Lindsey: I have been pretty good. There’s a 9 year age gap between Hazel and my second daughter. In a lot of situations I feel like a first time mom again bc so much time has passed. I have a great husband and support system that help me when I get overwhelmed, which let’s face it, is often with a newborn .
Did you have a vision for the newborn session?
Lindsey: I kind of had a vision. I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. I knew I wanted soft colors. But I also knew that I had seen all of Evie’s work and I trusted her judgement.
What was it like working with your photographer?
Lindsey: I am convinced that there is no better newborn photographer than Evie Lynn. She is so amazing with the babies. She took time to get a feel for what we really wanted out of our session. She even made our big girls feel included. She pours so much into turning these sessions into tangible lifetime memories. She makes the entire process from start to finish feel personal and special. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Hazels newborn session.
