I’ve been hoarding these photos for a while now, and realized they needed to be let loose! This is our family’s summer photo session by Kara DiCarlo Photography. Our sweet friend and fellow tour wife captured our family at a park in Franklin this past July. Keep scrolling to see more!
Even though we scheduled the shoot in the evening, it was extremely hot and humid! Major props to Kara DiCarlo for bearing with us as she was about 6 months pregnant at the time photographing us in the heat.
I was so torn with what our family should wear! I wanted something sort of bright to reflect the summer and also my kids’ personalities. So we went with a yellow, pink and blue color scheme. I love how everything popped against the green trees in the park (and I’m glad I didn’t choose to wear green – I almost did!).
Our kids are at the age where life is so chaotic but fun! Kara definitely captured this feeling in all of our photos. Adler was 16 months old and still not walking, yet he was crawling everywhere and trying to escape our embraces during the shoot! Haha! Hollyn is 4 and loved picking wildflowers and giving them to Kara (and even saving some for Eva, Kara’s daughter who is her best friend!).
