Catching a perfect time to take family photos can be difficult. Especially for our family as my husband’s schedule is all over the map (literally)! So when Jenna Henderson and I met about wedding photography for my wedding blog Nashville Bride Guide, I knew it was time to ask her to shoot some photos of my family! These photos were taken back in 2017, and let me tell you, it’s definitely time to re-up our family photo game as we have not had one in a year (and we have a new addition to the family – my son!). When I saw Jenna Henderson’s Nashville family portrait photography, I knew she was the perfect choice for photos. Plus she has kids herself and understands how crazy they can be – especially in front of a camera when my daughter always yells out “no picture!”. I’m so satisfied with how these turned out and am excited to share them with you below!
Jenna Henderson’s family film photography is next level – I’ve always loved the look of film and she knows how to capture it so well. During our session my daughter did get a little cranky here and there (like I said before, she loves yelling out “no picture!” whenever she sees an iPhone or camera). But Jenna handled her like a champ! Our daughter turned a 180 when Jenna asked her for a hug and when she let her play with the flowers and grass on the farm. Her joy definitely comes across in the photos!
I was ecstatic when I got the photos back from Jenna – they captured our daughter’s personality to a T! It’s so hard to do that in regular iPhone photos and Jenna knew just what to do to make her personality come alive in the photos. Plus, I found out I was pregnant with my son shortly after this photo session. This is why it means so much to me – we were able to capture our last moments as a family of three before my son arrived. Soak in these moments and get your family portraits taken.
