Aside from choosing a theme, picking a color palette is the second most difficult task on the party planning to-do list. And we know that when it comes to your kiddos you want to get it just right! To help you, we’re sharing some of our favorite color palettes for kids’ birthday parties, featuring on-trend rentals from Southern Events Party Rental Company.

Bright Red & Blue

Colorful palettes are a classic choice for kids’ birthday parties! Regardless of the season, you can get away with a variety of bold and punchy colors – brilliant blues, pops of red, and rich shades of green. This ‘Kids Day Camp’ theme is no exception, featuring bright blue and red plaid. It’s a fun and nostalgic theme, reminiscent of a summer cookout! And with lots of cozy seating, throws, and a fire pit, no one will be in a hurry to head home. To sweeten the deal, feature tasty seasonal treats like popcorn, candy apples, or s’mores.

Whimsical Pastels

Pastels have long been a hit for girls’ birthday parties, but we love this clean and minimalistic version. Lots of glitz and glam is fun, but a simple party can make just as big of an impact! This Pastel Daydream theme features soft pinks and crisp white, for that youthful feminine feel. Meanwhile plush rugs, soft ottomans, and gold serving ware will add a luxurious touch! This theme could be recreated with a variety of different pastels, including light blue, lilac, or mint – as well as a rainbow of colors.

Bold Blues & Greens

For kids who love nature and aren’t afraid to get dirty, bold woodsy colors make for a fun palette. Rich blue and green are an easy pairing and look especially beautiful should you host outdoors. Say on a manicured lawn or in the woods. Sticking to the woodland theme, it features simple wood furniture, including tables, chairs, and displays for food. You can opt for modern or rustic details, although we’re partial to the latter. There is just something extra cozy about mason jars and chalkboard signage!

Chic Neutrals

Our list wouldn’t be complete without a chic theme, like a Garden Tea Party! This charming theme certainly isn’t new, but the color palette that we’re proposing is. Rather than featuring bright and whimsical colors, opt for light warm-toned neutrals. Such as ivory, taupe, peach, and sage! Although on the softer side, these colors look stunning and timeless. Especially when paired with elegant Heirloom plates, tea cups, and saucers. Carry over the theme when dining, with silver food trays and beverage dispensers, and intricate cake stands.
