Pregnancy looked beautiful on Nashville beauty expert, Katelyn Rippeteau and her glowing maternity session by Sincerely Lindsay is proof. At 35 weeks pregnant, Katelyn looked ravishing in formal gowns of red and blue. And whether she was posing solo or holding hands with hubby nailed every shot. Since this session, they have welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world and we can only imagine all the love that’s being embraced. Tell us about you guys as a couple/family!
Katelyn: My husband and I met 5 years ago through my sister in law. With the exception of 2 vacations, we have (no exaggeration) not spent a day apart since! We got married on September 29th, 2017 and we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into our family on March 3rd, 2020.
What was the moment like when you found out you were pregnant?
Katelyn: We had decided to try for the first time in June of 2019. We assumed it would take between 3 and 6 months to actually get pregnant so we were prepared to be patient. Our little girl however was determined to make her appearance! We became pregnant first try! We were shocked but could not have been more excited for this new adventure!
How did you announce you were pregnant to your family/friends?
Katelyn: I am very close to my mom so I just blurted it out to her the first time I saw her after we found out! His parents we told together! However I also couldn’t wait to tell them so I blurted it out first thing when we saw them. My poor husband – lol!
How has your family reacted to your pregnancy?
Katelyn: Both of our families were beyond excited. Our daughter is the first grandchild on both sides. She’s also the first girl for my husbands side of the family so they were especially excited when we found out the gender!
How has your pregnancy been so far?
Katelyn: My pregnancy and delivery both were honestly perfect! I never once had morning sickness. With the exception of feeling tired in the first trimester, I never felt better than I did while pregnant!
How far along are you in the maternity photos?
Katelyn: In the photos I was 35 weeks.
How did you come up with your concept/location for your photos?
Katelyn: Lindsay is so talented and knowledgeable when it comes to photography I gave her full rein with the location and concept!
What was it like during the shoot working with the photographer?
Katelyn: She is always so easy to work with and makes the session fun! She told me exactly how to pose and what angles look best. I am clueless when it comes to posing and what looks best especially with 30 extra pounds on me! My husband is very shy and she was able to get him to loosen up a bit without making things awkward or uncomfortable!
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your maternity shoot?
Katelyn: I HIGHLY recommend Lindsay Wilson for maternity shoots. We will 100% be using her for our next child!
