Oh how I’ve been patiently waiting to share this interview with Jenna Henderson with you today! Jenna has singlehandedly helped me launch this blog by offering up all of her incredible family portrait sessions, newborn sessions, baby shower photos and more to showcase on my blog. I’ve worked with Jenna on many shoots in the past, and I can’t get over the high quality images and professionalism she exudes in everything she does! Tell us about Jenna Henderson Photography! How long have you been in business?
Jenna: I’ve been a full time photographer for over 14 years! I’ve photographed countless families, babies, and children in that time. I even have a handful of clients for whom I photographed their senior portraits, then engagement and wedding, then the first year’s of their first, second, and third children, and now we do family photos every year. It’s been such an incredible honor to be a part of these people’s lives for so long and to tell their story and preserve their legacy.
What is the philosophy behind Jenna Henderson Photography?
Jenna: I believe in photographing children and families in an honest, timeless way. I believe taking a simple, heartfelt approach leads to creating portraits that will stand the test of time and be loved and cherished more and more with each passing year. I also believe in real, tangible photographs, treating each portrait like an exquisite piece of art and not allowing tech upgrades to come between us and our memories. I believe it’s my duty as a photographer to provide my clients with the service of creating those prints, so they don’t have to worry about where, how, and when to do it themselves.
What are your strengths compared to other family photographers?
Jenna: My biggest strengths are my personality, years of experience, and technical expertise. This combo allows me to work with children quickly, and help everyone feel at ease in front of my lens while delivering consistent images no matter the scenario.
What attracts parents to work with you?
Jenna: Parents love the fresh yet classic approach I take to photographing families and children. I like to strike a nice balance between posed, directed, and candid images over the course of a session, and parents love the end results. A lot of my clients are also attracted to the aesthetic of my work; I photography my clients using film, and the artistry that film brings to an image is something that moms love.
